Hatters Ranked Seventh in DiG Magazine Poll

DeLand, Fla. -- The Stetson beach volleyball team is ranked seventh in the nation in the 2017 DiG Magazine Beach Volleyball preseason Top 20 poll, the organization recently announced.

It is Stetson's highest-ever preseason ranking. The Hatters are also ranked ninth in the AVCA Coaches Poll.

Stetson is coming off a program-record 28-9 season and a trip to the inaugural NCAA Beach Volleyball Championship in 2016.

The Hatters open the season March 4-5 by hosting three other teams in the Top 20 - No. 19 Florida Atlantic, No. 3 Florida State and No. 9 LSU - at the Stetson Spring Break Invitational. Admission is free to all home matches, which are played on campus at the Cooper Beach Volleyball courts on E. Minnesota Ave.
