Diamond Named ASUN Defensive Player of the Week Again

Stetson's Liza Diamond has been named ASUN Defensive Player of the Week in women's lacrosse, the league office announced today. This is Diamond's second weekly honor of the season and it comes on the heels of Stetson's first win of the season.
 
In two games last week, Diamond posted a total of 24 saves as the Hatters went 1-1. She finished the week with a 10.41 goals-against average and a .533 save percentage.
 
In last Thursday's 10-9 overtime loss at Wagner, Diamond made 16 saves and saved 61.5 percent of the shots against her. In Monday's win over Central Connecticut Stets, Diamond stopped eight shots to get her first win of the year.
 
For the season, Diamond currently leads the ASUN in save percentage (.463) and saves (74).
 
The Hatters next host Vermont, Noon, Wednesday, at the Athletic Training Center.
