Lefèvre finished the day in a share of 17th place. The field will return to the 7,258-yard, par 71 course tomorrow morning for the tournament's second round. Lefèvre is scheduled to start tomorrow at 10:23 a.m. off hole no. 1. The final round is scheduled for Wednesday. Live results are available online by clicking here.

One of 75 golfers hoping to qualify for the NCAA Championships later this month at the Omni La Costa in Carlsbad, Calif, Lefèvre is one of just 10 individuals competing in the regional. The other 65 golfers are affiliated with a team qualifier. Josiah Gilbert of Auburn, ranked 26th nationally, leads the field after today's first round with a 6-under par 65. He was one of 16 golfers to turn in a score under 70.

Lefèvre opened the day by making par on the first two holes before dropping his only bogey of the round on the 210-yard par 3 third hole. He then rattled off a trio of pars before making a birdie on the second-longest hole on the course, the 556-yard par 5 seventh. He moved his score into the red with a birdie on the par 3 16th before settling for par to close out the round.

A native of Hossegor, France, Lefèvre became Stetson's first-ever at-large selection into the NCAA Regionals after a stellar season as the ASUN Men's Golfer of the Year. He led the team in scoring average at 70.9 and claimed three tournament titles during the season.

To advance to the NCAA Championships, Lefèvre must finish as the top individual not on one of the five advancing teams from the regional field. The NCAA Championships will be held May 29-June 3 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California.

Set to launch on July 1, 2026, Unisun Sports will offer shared services and resources, enhanced revenue generating opportunities, collective purchasing, and featured scheduling alliances, enhancing the student-athlete experience within the ASUN and UAC.

Current ASUN Commissioner, Jeff Bacon, will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer for Unisun Sports. "The future belongs to those willing to innovate collectively," said Bacon. "By leveraging the Unisun Sports model, we are pooling our resources to elevate competition, generate new revenues, and create sustainable, long-term opportunities for our institutions. The ASUN and the UAC aren't just reacting to the industry; we are defining what's next in our industry."

This new structure was initially announced in June of 2025 by the ASUN and the Western Athletic Conference (WAC), who recognized an opportunity to build upon the longstanding football partnership between the two leagues. Upon the launch of Unisun Sports the WAC will rebrand to the UAC, the current football brand of the ASUN and WAC, recognizing its new membership composition. The 2026-27 season will debut with eight multi-sport members of the ASUN and nine multi-sport members of the UAC, including eight football members.

"The launch of Unisun Sports represents a bold and strategic step forward for both the ASUN and the UAC. This joint venture is rooted in a shared vision — to create new opportunities for our student-athletes, strengthen institutional collaboration, and position our member programs for long-term success in an evolving collegiate athletics landscape", said Board Chair and Stetson University President Dr. Christopher Roellke.

The impact of Unisun Sports is already being felt within the membership. The 2026-27 Men's and Women's Basketball seasons will feature an array of high profile games between the ASUN and UAC, bringing valuable home Division I games to campuses and fans. Shared resource plans are expected to create significant operational cost savings for both conferences. Future announcements will include a new media rights agreement, and a modernized staffing structure aimed towards enhanced services and revenue generation.

"The launch of Unisun Sports represents a forward-thinking step for the future of the UAC and ASUN.", added Vice Board Chair and Abilene Christian University President Dr. Phil Schubert. "We are proud of this collaboration rooted in stability and growth, and we believe Unisun Sports will serve as a model for the next era of college athletics."

Unisun Sports signals what's next - a bold new chapter for both conferences in the modern era of collegiate athletics.

Stetson closed the year with a 37-22 overall record, capturing the ASUN Championship and advancing to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2014. Along the way, the Hatters earned their first win over Florida State since 1987 and recorded the program's second NCAA Tournament victory with Friday's upset of the Seminoles.

Against UCF in the 1-0 game, the Knights jumped out to an early 4–0 lead in the top of the second inning. Stetson answered in the bottom half of the inning when Madelyn Synoracki singled and later scored on a Gia Napoli double to deep center field, cutting the deficit to 4–1.

UCF added six more runs over the remainder of the game to secure the 10–1 victory in six innings.

Stetson returned to the field later Saturday evening to face No. 9 Florida State in the elimination game. The Seminoles took control early, scoring two runs in the first inning before adding five more in the second.

The Hatters responded in the third inning when Nicole Edmiaston blasted her 23rd home run of the season, moving into a three-way tie with Shellie Cousins and Cheyenne Jenks for the second-most home runs in a single season in program history. Later in the inning, Annabella McClerren scored on an RBI double by Irianis Garcia to cut the deficit to 7–2.

Stetson added another run in the fourth inning when Logan Forman crossed the plate on a bases-loaded walk by Napoli, trimming the lead to 7–3. Florida State answered with two runs in the fifth inning before adding two more in the seventh to secure the 11–3 victory.

Hayley Arnold provided a strong relief effort for the Hatters, tossing 5 2/3 innings against the Seminoles while allowing just two earned runs and striking out one batter. Garcia finished with two hits and an RBI, while Edmiaston homered and scored a run.

DeLAND, Fla. – Stetson University head women's basketball coach Melissa DeVore has announced the addition of Ryan McGee as an assistant coach for the Hatters program.

McGee arrives in DeLand after multiple successful stints at Francis Marion University, where he helped guide the Patriots to a combined 63-25 record and two NCAA Division II Southeast Regional appearances across three seasons on staff.

McGee first joined the Patriots during the 2022-23 season, helping Francis Marion post a 20-7 overall record. He then spent the 2023-24 campaign as an assistant coach at Lander University before returning to Francis Marion for the past two seasons.

During the 2024-25 season, Francis Marion finished 24-7 overall and earned a berth into the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional. This past season, the Patriots went 19-11 before falling to DeVore's Coker University squad in the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional.

"Ryan is someone I've had a great deal of respect for over the past seasons competing against each other," DeVore added. "He's a tireless worker, eager to continue learning and growing, and I know he's going to bring tremendous energy, passion and a fresh perspective to our staff. I'm excited to welcome him to Hatter Nation!"

Between his two stints at Francis Marion, McGee spent the 2023-24 season at Lander University, helping the Bearcats post a 19-win campaign and match the largest turnaround in program history with an 11-win improvement from the previous year. While at Lander, he helped develop WBCA All-American and Peach Belt Conference Player of the Year Wykeria Johnson Kelly, along with All-Conference selection Tania Gordon, both of whom went on to play professionally overseas.

Prior to returning to the collegiate ranks, McGee served as head coach for boys basketball, football and baseball at Effingham County Middle School in Guyton, Ga., during the 2021-22 school year while also assisting with the boys basketball program at Effingham County High School. The Rebels finished 19-8, advancing to the state playoffs and reaching the region championship game while producing six All-Region selections.

McGee also spent the 2020-21 season as an assistant boys basketball coach at West Florence High School.

A native of Columbus, Ga., McGee earned his bachelor's degree in sports management from Berry College in 2021 before completing his master's degree in education from Middle Georgia University in 2022. He also completed undergraduate coursework at Brevard College.

As a student-athlete, McGee played basketball at Brevard and was a two-year starter on the football team at Berry College. He later transitioned into coaching as a student assistant with the Berry basketball program.

In addition to his collegiate coaching experience, McGee has served as a site manager for Point Guard College (PGC) Camps, overseeing operations at 19 national camp sites and working with more than 3,000 athletes from around the world through basketball instruction and mentorship.
