DeLand, Fla. - Stetson University's Corey Kluber was named to the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) All-Atlantic Region Second Team on Wednesday. Kluber was one of only three Atlantic Sun Conference players to make the list.
Â
The junior from Coppell, Texas posted a sterling 12-2 record with a 2.05 ERA in 17 starts. Kluber was named the Atlantic Sun Conference Pitcher of the Year and also earned third team all-america honors. He was drafted in the fourth round of the Major League Baseball First Year Player Draft by the San Diego Padres.Â
Â
Kluber is the first Stetson pitcher to be named to the ABCA All-Atlantic Team since Roger Lincoln was second team selection in 2002.Â
Â
Mercer's Cory Gearrin and Jacksonville's Pete Clifford were the other two A-Sun representatives on the All-Atlantic Team.Â
