Stetson University Athletics

The Stetson University Sports Medicine staff is under the direction of the Medical Director, Dr. Trai Shinn M.D and Head Team Physician, Dr. Mark Hollmann. The sports medicine team consists of a team of board-certified family and sports medicine physicians, a deep network of specialized orthopedic surgeons, a physical therapist provided through our partnership with AdventHealth, 10 full-time certified athletic trainers, and certified strength and conditioning specialists. Together we are committed to the prevention, recognition, management, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries to enhance the physical performance and personal healthcare of each student-athlete. 

Sports Medicine Services are located in both the Wilson Athletic Center and the Athletic Training Center. The Wilson Athletic Center houses a 2,000 square-foot facility servicing primarily indoor sports. The Athletic Training Center is home to a 2,010 square-foot athletic training room servicing primarily outdoor sports. Satellite athletic training rooms are located at the Patricia Wilson Softball Field, Melching Field at Conrad Park, and Spec Martin Football Stadium. All locations are dedicated to the healthcare of all student-athletes.
