Four players from the Stetson men's soccer team were named
to Top Drawer Soccer's list of the Top 20 players in the Atlantic Sun
Conference. Seniors Jonathan Mendoza, Luis
Ocejo, and Kai Eckenrode,
as well as sophomore JJ Lofthouse-Smith earned the accolades from the online
outlet.
Mendoza, who was recently tabbed the A-Sun Preseason Player
of the Year, earned the top spot on the list from Top Drawer. He was joined in the top ten by A-Sun
Defensive Player of the Year, Ocejo. The
Stetson defender was ranked third, while Eckenrode was slotted eighth.
Lofthouse-Smith's ranking of 16 on the list gave the Hatters
four recognized student-athletes. Only
ETSU's six honorees were more, as Stetson tied FGCU with four on the list. Mercer had three earn the honors, while USC
Upstate and Lipscomb each tallied one.
Stetson, FGCU, and ETSU made up the entirety of Top Drawer's Top 10.
