Hatters Fall To Kennesaw State 66-49

Brittney Chambers Tops 20 Points for the Sixth Time This Season

Kennesaw, Ga. -- Kamiyah Street scored 24 points to help lead Kennesaw State to a 66-49 victory over Stetson Monday night at the KSU Convocation Center.

Brittney Chambers scored 21 points to lead the Hatters (12-9), who fell to 3-2 in ASUN play.  No other Hatters scored in double figures.

Stetson led 27-26 at the half, but the Owls (5-11, 1-4) outscored the Hatters 40-22 in the second half to pull away with the victory.

Stetson shot just 36 percent from the floor and committed 24 turnovers.  The Owls shot 40.4 percent overall and 45.5 percent from behind the arc.

Michelle Pruitt led the team with nine rebounds.  The Hatters held a 36-31 advantage on the glass.

Stetson will return home to host North Florida at 1 p.m. Saturday.

Notes: 
  • Brittney Chambers topped 20 points for the sixth time this season. She is now averaging 17.0 ppg.
  • Although the Hatters won the rebounding battle, Stetson scored just six second chance points
  • KSU scored 29 points off Stetson turnovers
  • The Hatters recorded five blocked shots as a team, including two by Michelle Pruitt
