Hatters Eliminated From ASUN Tournament

DeLand, Fla. -- The Stetson softball team was eliminated from the ASUN tournament after falling 4-1 to Lipscomb Thursday afternoon at Patricia Wilson Field.

The Hatters completed their 2018 season with a record of 26-25.  Lipscomb (33-16) advances to face either USC Upstate or Jacksonville on Friday.

Lizzie Shubert had two hits on the day while Molly McLaughlin doubled and scored a run.  Kasey Fava and Blake Crews also doubled.

Tori Perkins worked the first 4.1 innings, while Chelsea Hostetler pitched 1.2 scoreless innings of relief in her final career appearance.  Hostetler won 27 games in 85 career outings.

Maggie Fritts also completed her two-year career with a .268 batting average and 13 career home runs.
