JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Stetson Men's Soccer placed four student-athletes on the 2025 ASUN postseason teams, as senior Andres Mata and junior Zsombor Pall earned spots on the All-ASUN Second Team, while freshmen Valentin Fontaine and Israel Daniels were selected to the ASUN All-Freshman Team, the league announced Tuesday afternoon.
A striker from El Paso, Texas, Mata secured the third All-ASUN honor of his career, adding to Second Team recognition in 2022 and First Team accolades in 2023. The preseason All-ASUN pick finished the year with four goals, highlighted by a late-season surge, three goals in the final week of the regular season, to help push the Hatters into postseason play. Mata appeared in all 17 matches for the Hatters this season, making 11 starts.
Joining him on the All-ASUN Second Team is forward Zsombor Pall, who delivered a breakout year in his first season with the program. The towering striker from Nyíregyháza, Hungary paced the Hatters with six goals on just 15 shots across 16 matches and eight starts. Pall scored twice in the must-win regular season finale at North Florida and provided the crucial equalizer in Stetson's ASUN Quarterfinal victory over Central Arkansas.
Stetson continued its streak of placing multiple players on the All-Freshman Team for the fifth consecutive year. Midfielder Valentin Fontaine earned the nod after starting all 15 matches he appeared in. Logging 1,129 minutes, the most of any non-defender, Fontaine recorded his first collegiate goal in conference play, netting the go-ahead goal at FGCU.
He is joined on the All-Freshman Team by New Smyrna Beach native Izzy Daniels, who made an immediate impact in his debut season. Daniels appeared in 13 matches with two starts, scoring twice in his first collegiate start against Warner while providing valuable minutes in the midfield rotation.
In addition to the on-field honors, six Hatters earned spots on the ASUN All-Academic Team: Afonso Conde, Giuseppe Croce, Maurice Hauser, Jacob Lenhard, Nicolò Radaelli, and Andres Rodriguez. The recognition highlights the program's continued commitment to excellence both athletically and academically.
The Hatters closed the 2025 campaign with their ninth consecutive appearance in the ASUN Championship, continuing to demonstrate the program's commitment to developing high-level talent across every class.
