DeLAND, Fla. – The Stetson Football program will host a "Get in the Game" Marrow Donor Drive on Wednesday, March 25, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at The Stetson Green and CUB on the campus of Stetson University.
The event is held in partnership with the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) and aims to connect patients battling life-threatening blood diseases and cancers with potential donors through the national marrow registry.
Members of the campus and DeLand communities are encouraged to stop by and learn more about the initiative and how they can help make a difference. Individuals between the ages of 18 and 40 are eligible to join the life-saving registry.
Through the "Get in the Game" initiative, college football programs across the country help raise awareness and encourage donor registration, using the platform of college athletics to support patients in need of blood stem cell transplants.
