Bryan Peters spent one season as an assistant coach for the Hatters, coaching outfielders and handling first base duties during the 2006 season.
Peters came to Stetson from the University of South Florida where he spent nine seasons as an assistant coach following two years as a Bulls player. During his collegiate playing career he played three infield positions as well as in the outfield and on the mound. He helped USF to two conference titles and two NCAA Regional appearances as a player and three NCAA berths as a coach.
In 1997, Peters spent parts of two months in Puerto Rico coaching a Roberto Clemente all-star team of 15 and 16-year-olds.
A native of Lancaster, Calif., Peters was an All-Conference performer at Antelope Valley Community College. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Speech Communications from USF in 1997.
While at Stetson he helped the Hatters win an ASUN Conference Tournament title in 2006 and a bid to the NCAA Tournament. Since his time in DeLand he has made coaching stops at UCF, High Point, Pittsburgh, Nova Southeastern and St. Mary's in California. He currently serves as Associate Head Coach at Long Beach State.
