Assistant Coach/First Base Coach/Outfielders • 2nd Season

 

Clint Chrysler begins his second year as an assistant coach with the Stetson baseball program. His primary duties will be to work with the outfielders and coach first base. Chrysler will also be counted on to contribute with his knowledge of pitching and hitting.

 

Chrysler played three seasons (1995-1997) for the Hatters. He finished his Stetson career with a career .309 batting average. His junior year he hit .344 with 13 doubles, two triples, one home run and 32 RBI. On the mound Chrysler appeared in 74 games and had a 14-10 record and a 3.80 ERA. In 1996 Clint played collegiate summer league ball in Cape Cod and was named the Cape Cod Reliever of the Year. 

 

Chrysler left school after his junior season when he was drafted in the 17th round by the Seattle Mariners. He played nine years of professional baseball with Seattle (1997-1999) and Pittsburgh (2000-2004) reaching as high as the AAA level in the Pirates organization (Nashville Sounds). During his professional career Clint was named to two minor league All Star teams.

 

Chrysler graduated from Boca Ciega High School in Gulfport, Florida in 1994. He earned First Team All-Suncoast and All-State honors. He was drafted in the 47th round by the New York Yankees.

 

Chrysler was born November 4, 1975 in Clear Lake Texas.
