At Stetson
  • Brandon Wright returns to the Stetson staff where he will work with linebackers and dawg safeties in 2022.
  • He returned to Stetson, where he served as linebackers coach for the Hatters from 2012-15, helping get the Stetson football program off the ground after more than 50 years without a team.
  • During his first tenure at Stetson he mentored players line David Lazear and Davion Belk, helping them to become All-PFL players on the field and Academic All-PFL performers off the field.
Since Stetson
  • Wright departed Stetson in 2016 to become a head coach in the newly formed Premier Gridiron League on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia.
  • After one season in Australia, Wright returned to the United States to serve as defensive line coach at Becker College in Massachusetts during the 2017 season. 
  • He became defensive coordinator and residence live coordinator at Middle Georgia College in 2018
  • In 2020 he became an offensive analyst at Mercer University, helping the Bears average 336 yards per game, including 167.1 yards per game on the ground, third best in the Southern Conference.
Prior to Stetson
  • Wright spent four seasons coaching defensive backs at Franklin College in Indiana, working with the defensive backs.
  • He started his coaching career as an assistant coach at Ridge View High School in Columbia, S.C.
As a Player
  • Wright played for two years at Newberry College before suffering a career-ending shoulder injury.
  • Afterward, he contributed to the football team with quality control responsibilities.
  • He graduated from Newberry in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a minor in sociology.
  • He graduated from Strayer University in 2010 with a master’s of business administration degree.
