2008: Finished freshman campaign with 16 appearances and two starting nods... Was 10th on the team with a 6.85 ERA... One of five Hatters to earn a save on the season... Pitched three innings, struck out one batter and had no decision in his first career start against Kennesaw State (2/27/08)... Struck out season high four batters against Central Michigan (3/5/08) and again against Lipscomb (4/6/08)... Earned first career save after pitching 3 1/3 innings and striking out two batters against Florida Gulf Coast (5/3/08).

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated Cum Laude from Countryside High School in Clearwater, Florida... Played Division 6A baseball under head coach Jeff Davis... Earned First Team All-County honors and was a varsity team captain his junior and senior years... Named Team MVP as senior. Led Pinellas County with a 1.01 ERA his senior season... Played in the Hillsborough County vs. Pinellas County All-Star game at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg... Following senior season was drafted in the 36th round by the Devil Rays...  

PERSONAL: Travis Stortz was born September 27, 1988, in Coral Springs, Florida... The son of Daphne Stortz of Safety Harbor, Florida... After graduation Travis would like to play professional baseball... Majoring in Business Administration.
