Biography

2007: Recorded 12 saves moving him into second place all-time for the Hatters in career saves with 31... Earned Second Team All-Atlantic Sun Conference honors... In the pre-season was named to the Clemens Award Watch and NCBWA Stopper of the Year Watch Lists... Led the conference in appearances with 30... Finished second in the A-Sun with 12 saves... Was second on the team in ERA at 2.36 in 45.2 innings pitched... Finished with 20 strike outs... Did not give up a run in 21 of 30 appearances... Pitched two innings giving up no runs and picking up the save against the Florida Gators (3/20/07)... Pitched 18 consecutive scoreless innings over 12 games from February 23 to March 23... Picked up a season-high two strike outs four times... Was 2-1 with a 2.79 ERA and four saves in 19.1 innings of conference play.

2006: Recorded the school’s second-highest total of single season saves with 14, while posting a 7-3 record and team-best 2.56 ERA... His 7 wins tied for the team lead with Nathan Nery... Earned All-Atlantic Sun Conference Second Team honors and named to the Atlantic Sun Conference All-Tournament Team... Also earned Atlantic Sun Conference Academic All-Conference recognition... His 37 appearances tied for the highest total in school history and led the A-Sun... With 14 saves and seven wins, had a hand in 55% of the Hatters wins (21 of 38)... Ranked second in the A-Sun in ERA and saves, and fifth in wins and opponent batting average (.247)... Allowed just 16 extra-base hits and 16 walks in 70.1 innings... Earned the win in head coach Pete Dunn’s 1,000th career victory with 4 1/3 scoreless innings against Mercer on May 25... 2005: Named to the Atlantic Sun All-Freshmen Team and to the A-Sun Championship All-Tournament Team... Led the A-Sun with 34 appearances (33 in relief)... Tied for seventh in A-Sun with five saves (all vs. A-Sun opponents)... All five wins and all five saves came at home... His 34 appearances was the sixth-highest single-season total in school history... Earned a save (Apr. 8) and a win (Apr. 9) vs. Gardner-Webb... Pitched 2.1 innings for a save vs. Belmont (Apr. 24)... Picked up two saves against Jacksonville (Apr. 30 - 2.0 IP; May 1 - 1.2 IP)... Made appearances in eight straight games from May 15-27... Earned a victory vs. Gardner-Webb and a save vs. Florida Atlantic on the same day (May 27) in the A-Sun tournament... Pitched 2.1 scoreless innings of relief vs. Florida and 1.2 innings vs. Notre Dame in the NCAA Tournament (June 4).

High School: Went 9-2 with a 1.16 ERA as a senior at Okeechobee High School... Struck out 90 batters in 70 innings... Also batted .341 with 35 runs scored... Named the FACA 4A Player of the Year... Was named First-Team All-Area (Palm Beach Post) and First-Team All-Conference... Helped lead his team to a 20-8 record and a berth in the state regionals...
