2007: Lindsey proved to be a dual threat as a freshman, recording a 9-5 pitching record with 99 strikeouts in 105.2 innings and a 1.85 ERA while also batting .224 with three home runs and 16 RBI. She jumped out to an 8-1 win-loss record in the season’s first six weeks, earning her first career win with a four-hit, six-strikeout shutout of Villanova on March 2. Against Princeton on March 20, Lindsey struck out eight of nine Tiger batters in three dominating innings. Her season high in strikeouts was nine, which she set against Cornell in five shutout innings on March 24 as the Hatters won 9-4. Lindsey’s third home run of the year, a solo shot in the second inning of the Atlantic Sun championship game, helped propel Stetson to a 6-4 win over Gardner-Webb and the program’s first NCAA Tournament appearance.
