Jessica Ujvari begins her first season as a volunteer assistant coach with the Hatters.
The 2015 American Athletic Conference Player of the Year, Ujvari played for three seasons at UCF. As a senior in 2016, she batted a team-high .300 with nine home runs and 35 RBI. On May 21, she sent the Knights to the NCAA Gainesville Regional final with a walk-off home run against Florida Atlantic.
Ujvari batted .314 her junior year with seven home runs and 38 RBI. In addition to conference player of the year honors, Ujvari was voted second team all-region and selected to the AAC all-tournament team.
As a sophomore, Ujvari batted .324 with six home runs and 24 RBI. She played her freshman season at USC Upstate.
A native of Pensacola, Fla., and later Niceville, Fla., Ujvari was selected as the 2012 Florida Class 6A Offensive Player of the Year. She helped lead Niceville High School to a 29-3 record and an appearance in the state championship game.
