  • Title
    Assistant Coach/Recruiting Coordinator

Stetson Baseball announced the addition of Greg Lovelady as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator ahead of the 2026 season.

Lovelady joins the Hatters after spending the 2025 campaign as an assistant coach at Purdue, where he worked primarily with hitters and catchers. A three-time conference coach of the year and veteran leader with more than 20 years of collegiate coaching experience, Lovelady owns 349 career victories as a head coach with previous stops at UCF and Wright State.

During his 10 seasons as a head coach, Lovelady’s teams never finished with a losing record, capturing four conference championships and making two NCAA Regional appearances. He led UCF to a 40-win season and the American Athletic Conference title in 2017, earning AAC Coach of the Year honors in his first season with the Knights.

Before UCF, Lovelady guided Wright State to a program-record 46 wins in 2016, earning ABCA Mideast Region and Horizon League Coach of the Year honors. Across his coaching career, he has helped develop 55 MLB Draft selections, including 10 who were chosen in the first 10 rounds.

A two-time national champion catcher at the University of Miami (1999, 2001), Lovelady began his coaching career with the Hurricanes and helped guide them to two more College World Series appearances.

Lovelady and his wife, Lindsay, have two sons, Noah and Gavin.
