The Wilson Athletic Center, adjacent to the Edmunds Center, is essential to the University's athletics programs and will serve as a home for Stetson's student-athlete academic and athletics needs.Â
The facility, named for SU alumni Pat and Patricia Wilson, was renovated in 2025.
The building holds one of the main sports medicine facilities that was upgraded in 2025. The athletic training room includes a rehabilitation and treatment area, a physician exam room, athletic trainers offices, and an office for a full-time physical therapist, provided by Advent Health.
The recent renovation included the installation of a state-of-the-art weight room outfitted by the renowned strength equipment manufacturer, Sorinex. This modern facility features six fully equipped power racks, six combination lat pulldown/seated row machines, two integrated reverse hyperextension and glute-ham raise units, and a comprehensive dumbbell area. Strategically located adjacent to the Edmunds Center, the weight room serves multiple functions—supporting pre-practice activation, structured strength and conditioning sessions, and aiding in athletic recovery in collaboration with the athletic training staff.
The new academic center includes 1500 square feet of space, offering a quiet, monitored, study environment exclusively for student-athletes. Our academic staff offices are housed inside the academic center, with availability for a variety of support services including tutoring, study hall, group meetings, and general academic advising. Additionally, there is a nutrition station for student-athletes that will be available during operating hours.Â
Other renovations include administrative offices and a conference room.Â
