Student-Athlete Performance & Support
Wilson Athletic Center
Named in honor of Stetson alumni Pat and Patricia Wilson, the Wilson Athletic Center underwent a major renovation in 2025, modernizing several of the department's most important student-athlete support spaces.
Sports Medicine
The Wilson Athletic Center houses one of Stetson Athletics' primary sports medicine facilities, which was upgraded as part of the 2025 renovation. The athletic training room includes dedicated rehabilitation and treatment areas, a physician exam room, athletic trainers' offices and an office for a full-time physical therapist provided through Stetson's partnership with AdventHealth.
2025 Renovation
State-of-the-Art Strength & Conditioning Space
The renovation included the installation of a modern weight room outfitted by renowned strength equipment manufacturer Sorinex. Located adjacent to the Edmunds Center, the facility supports pre-practice activation, structured strength and conditioning sessions and student-athlete recovery in collaboration with Stetson's sports medicine staff.
Weight Room Features
Six fully equipped power racks
Six combination lat pulldown/seated row machines
Two integrated reverse hyperextension and glute-ham raise units
Comprehensive dumbbell training area
Student-Athlete Academic Center
The renovated Wilson Athletic Center also features a new 1,500-square-foot academic center, providing a quiet and monitored study environment exclusively for Stetson student-athletes.
Academic Support Services
Academic staff offices are located within the center, providing convenient access to tutoring, study hall, group meetings and general academic advising. The space also includes a nutrition station available to student-athletes during operating hours.
Additional Improvements
Additional renovations to the Wilson Athletic Center included updated administrative offices and a conference room, further improving the facility's role as a central hub for Stetson Athletics.
