DeLand, Fla. - The Atlantic Sun Conference named Chris Ingoglia its Pitcher of the Week for the third time this year Monday afternoon. Ingoglia struck out a career-high 14 batters in a complete game victory at Campbell Friday night. He shared this week's honor with Lipscomb's Taylor Merry.Â
Â
The left-hander from Boynton Beach, Fla. upped his record to 7-2 while tossing his third complete game of the year. Ingoglia allowed just one run on three hits and no walks.Â
Â
Friday's performance cemented Ingoglia's spot among the Top Five A-Sun league leaders in wins (7), ERA (2.79), opponent's batting average (.217), complete games (3), and innings pitched (67 2/3).Â
Â
Ingoglia was a pre-season all-conference selection and has won two previous Pitcher of the Week awards (Feb. 12 and Mar. 19) in 2007. This is the fifth time a Stetson pitcher has been honored as Corey Kluber took home the award twice (Feb. 19 and Apr. 2).Â
Â
The Hatters return to action Tuesday night with a 7:00 p.m. match-up against Bethune-Cookman.Â
