DELAND, Fla. – Stetson University is bringing the energy of Hatters Athletics to the heart of DeLand with its inaugural "HatterFest", a community-wide celebration on Friday, Sept. 19 from 6-9 p.m. in Downtown DeLand. The event, presented in cooperation with MainStreet DeLand Association, will highlight spirit-filled Stetson University as well as strengthen the connection between the university and the greater community.
Located on W Indiana Ave. between Woodland Ave. and N. Florida Ave., the evening will feature appearances from Stetson University sports teams, offering fans the chance to meet their favorite Hatters for autographs, photos, and conversations. The beloved mascot John B, the Stetson Pep Band, and the Hatter cheerleaders will all bring high energy and school spirit to the celebration.
A lively DJ will keep the party going with music throughout the event, while Stetson corporate sponsors and community supporters will host interactive exhibits. Fans can also stop by the Hatter Ticket Office on site to secure seats for upcoming games, and shop for official Stetson gear at the Stetson University Bookstore merchandise booth.
"HatterFest is more than just a pep rally—it's a way to unite Stetson athletics and our community in celebration," said Ricky Ray, Stetson's Director of Athletics. "We're excited to bring the Stetson spirit to Downtown DeLand and invite everyone to come out and meet our exceptional student-athletes."
The event is free and open to the public, making it a perfect outing for families, students, alumni, and Hatters fans of all ages.
