Hatters Renew Rivalry with Former ASUN Foe Campbell

Stetson men's basketball closes out the pre-holiday portion of its schedule when the Hatters visit former conference foe Campbell, 2 p.m., Tuesday at Gore Arena in Buies Creek, N.C. The game will not be televised but can be heard locally on WSBB AM 1240 and 1490.

The Hatters (6-7) are looking to bounce back after suffering a 93-74 loss to Fort Wayne last Sunday. Stetson shot just 40 percent from the field against the Mastodons and was out-rebounded, 52-29.

The one bright spot for the Hatters against Fort Wayne was the play of junior guard Divine Myles, who became the 33rd player in school history to reach the 1,000-point mark. He finished with 18 points and added seven rebounds and three assists.

Campbell (6-5) enters play Thursday following a 90-59 win over Johnson & Wales. The Camels are led by sophomore guard Chris Clemons, who ranks 14th nationally in scoring at 22.5 points per game.

Stetson and Campbell were Atlantic Sun Conference foes from 1994 to 2011, when the Camels left the ASUN and returned to the Big South Conference.
