DeLand, Fla. -- Jacksonville spoiled Stetson's senior day celebration with a 4-2 and 4-0 doubleheader sweep Saturday afternoon at Patricia Wilson Field.
The Hatters (29-21 overall) scored just two runs over 15 innings on the day while falling to 8-8 in Atlantic Sun Conference play.
The Dolphins improved to 26-25, 7-7.
Kelsey Waters led the Hatters with three hits on the day, including a pair of doubles in game two. Kayla Drury and Molly Shasteen collected two hits apiece. Morgan Hatch and Brittany Hawn each drove in runs.
Prior to the game, the Hatters celebrated the careers of their five seniors - Jessica Griffin, Hawn, Hatch, Shasteen and Drury with a video tribute and public address announcement of their accomplishments.
The teams will play the series finale at 1 p.m. Sunday. The Hatters need one win to clinch a spot in the A-Sun tournament.
Notes: Game one went to extra innings before the Dolphins scored twice in the eighth ... Kayla Drury moved up to ninth on Stetson's all-time hits list. She now has 175 base hits in her career ... Shasteen threw a runner out at third from right field, and Waters threw a runner out a home from left field. Stetson now has 15 outfield assists this year.
