Carrollton, GA — Stetson Hatters softball hits the road for an ASUN series against West Georgia Wolves, beginning Friday, April 3 at 3 p.m.
The Hatters continue to gain national recognition, checking in at No. 17 in the D1 Softball Mid-Major Poll and No. 20 in the Softball America Mid-Major Rankings.
Stetson enters the weekend with a 22–15 overall record and a 7–2 mark in ASUN play. Hayley Arnold led the way last week, earning ASUN Pitcher of the Week honors after posting a 1.65 ERA across 17 innings, allowing just four earned runs while striking out 10.
Nicole Edmiaston continues to pace the offense, batting .486 with a .559 on-base percentage and a 1.531 OPS. She has recorded 52 hits, including seven doubles and 15 home runs, while driving in 50 runs.
Amber Chumley has also been a key contributor, hitting .356 with five home runs and 21 RBIs, while Irianis Garcia ranks second on the team with 43 hits, including seven doubles, a triple, and eight home runs. Garcia is batting .360 on the season and also ranks second nationally in assists.
As a team, Stetson is batting .316 with a .405 on-base percentage, totaling 312 hits, including 51 doubles and a program-record 50 home runs, along with 126 walks and 220 RBIs.
In the circle, Ava Braswell holds an 11–7 record with a 3.18 ERA across 94.2 innings, while Arnold owns a 3.04 ERA over 48.1 innings.
West Georgia enters the series with an 11–25 overall record and a 3–6 mark in conference play. Jenna Samuel leads the Wolves with 39 hits, including nine doubles and five home runs, batting .402 with a .508 on-base percentage and 26 RBIs. Ella Oswalt adds power to the lineup with a team-high six home runs.
As a team, West Georgia is batting .224 with a .309 on-base percentage, totaling 202 hits, including 38 doubles, four triples, and 21 home runs, along with 124 RBIs.
In the circle, Calli Hardison leads the Wolves with a 4–5 record across 15 appearances, including seven complete games. She has posted a 4.78 ERA over 67.1 innings with a 1.65 WHIP and a .298 opponent batting average.
The series marks the fifth all-time meeting between the two programs, with Stetson holding a 3–1 advantage.
