Stetson Welcomes Queens for Weekend Series

DeLand, Fla. – Stetson Hatters softball returns home to host Queens Royals softball for Royal Flush Weekend, beginning Saturday, March 28 at 1:00 p.m.

The Hatters are coming off a tightly contested 3–2 loss to No. 3 Florida. Irianis Garcia provided an early spark, launching a two-run home run in the first inning to give Stetson a 2–0 lead, while Hayley Arnold delivered a complete-game effort in the circle.

Stetson enters the weekend with a 19–14 overall record and a 4–2 mark in ASUN play. Nicole Edmiaston continues to pace the offense, batting .500 with a .571 on-base percentage and a 1.582 OPS. She has recorded 47 hits, including six doubles and 14 home runs, while driving in 48 RBIs. Edmiaston earned Player of the Week honors from the ASUN, Softball America, and the NFCA last week.

Garcia ranks second on the team with 38 hits, including five doubles, a triple, and six home runs. She is hitting .369 with a .472 on-base percentage and has drawn 17 walks, the second-most on the team. Defensively, Garcia also ranks second nationally in assists.

As a team, Stetson is batting .318 with a .406 on-base percentage, totaling 281 hits, 114 walks, and 197 RBIs.

In the circle, Ava Braswell holds a 10–6 record with a 2.86 ERA over 83.1 innings, along with 36 strikeouts. Arnold is coming off a strong stretch, earning a win across two appearances last weekend while tossing 9.1 innings with a 0.75 ERA and four strikeouts, before adding a complete-game performance against Florida.

Queens enters the weekend at 10–17 overall and 2–4 in ASUN play. Sage Farmer leads the Royals with 40 hits, including two doubles and two triples, while batting .444 with a .505 on-base percentage. Lindsay Henson has been a power threat, leading the team with 12 home runs and 40 RBIs while batting .443.

As a team, Queens is hitting .302 with a .388 on-base percentage, totaling 216 hits, including 33 doubles, four triples, and 26 home runs, along with 114 RBIs.

In the circle, Addison Kluck owns a 7–7 record across 19 appearances, including seven complete games. She has thrown 88 innings with a 4.61 ERA, 1.52 WHIP, and a .267 opponent batting average.

Saturday's opener marks the 13th all-time meeting between Stetson and Queens, with the Hatters holding a 7–5 edge in the series.
