Stetson men's soccer returns to the road when the Hatters participate in the UAB Soccer for a Cure Classic this weekend in Birmingham, Ala. The Hatters will face Rhode Island on Friday and Tulsa on Sunday.
The Hatters (2-1-1) enter the weekend following a 1-0 Labor Day victory over UNC Asheville. Sophomore Joseph Alamo scored his first career goal late in the second half to lead the Hatters to victory.
Rhode Island (2-1-1) opened the season with wins over Providence and St. Francis (N.Y.), but have since lost to New Hampshire and tied Drexel. Tulsa (1-1-1) enters tournament play following a 1-1 tie at St. Louis last weekend. The Golden Hurricane has scored five goals in their first three matches.
