Hatter Duo Chosen for ITA National Championships

Stetson tennis standouts Linus Bergevi and Colter DeCoste have earned an invitation to the ITA Fall National Championships, Nov. 1-5 at Indian Wells, Calif.
 
The duo earned an at-large selection to the championships after an outstanding fall season which saw them reach the semifinals of the ITA Southeast Regional before being forced to due to a minor injury. This is the first time a doubles from Stetson has been invited to, or qualified for, the Fall National Championships.
 
"It is a significant and well deserved honor," Stetson head coach Christophe Noblet. "Linus and Colter really meshed well at the Regional tournament two weeks ago, and their strong show there got them the required at-large selection.  Representing Stetson on the national stage is what we are building this program around, and Linus and Colter are clearly embodying that mission with this selection. I know they are going to have a blast in Indian Wells and compete with great heart and pride."
 
The ITA Fall National Championships are held at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden, which features the second-largest tennis stadium in the world and a full-service, year-round tennis club. For more information on the ITA Fall championships, click here.
