Hatters Duo Wins Title in Daytona

Stetson men's tennis tandem of Coilin MacNamara and Antoine Sanchez won the "B" doubles draw at the Juan Varon Invitational in Daytona Beach on Sunday.

MacNamara and Sanchez, who went undefeated over the weekend, topped a duo from St. Leo by a 7-6 score.

"It's good to see everyone buying into our doubles philosophy this year," Stetson assistant coach Todd Hooper said. "It was the first time Antoine and Coilin really played together but they executed our established patterns right away, and knew early on what to expect from one another. It's another sign we are heading in the right direction."

The Hatters close their fall season in two weeks at the ITF Futures in Pensacola, Fla.
