Hatters Complete Victory Over Manhattan

DeLand, Fla. -- The resumption of Friday night's suspended game took only 14 minutes to complete, but Stetson held on for a 7-3 victory over Manhattan Saturday morning at Patricia Wilson Field.

The game originally started Friday night but was halted in the bottom of the sixth inning due to a power outage.  

When play resumed Saturday, Brooke Hutto made quick work of the Jaspers, needing only 21 pitches to get through the final two innings.  Curstin Taylor (3-0) earned her third victory of the season, while Erica Corlew hit her first career home run.

Kelsey Waters and Linda Ross each finished with two hits and two runs scored, while Tara Walding had two hits and two RBI.  Jessie TenBroeck stole her 28th base of the season for the Hatters, who improved to 18-4.

Stetson will face Columbia at 5 p.m. and Colgate at 7:30 p.m.
