Hatters Head to the Midwest for Weekend Tourney

Stetson men's soccer takes to the road this weekend for a pair of games at the NIU Invitational, Friday and Sunday, in DeKalb, Ill. The Hatters face tournament host Northern Illinois, 8:30 p.m., Friday, and face Loyola Chicago, Noon, Sunday.

Friday's game with NIU will be live streamed and live stats will be available for both games. In-game updates will be provided as well on @StetsonMSoccer.

The Hatters (1-2-0) are looking to build off of last Sunday's 3-0 win over Bucknell. Freshman Deniz Dogan scored twice and Joseph Melong led a strong defensive effort in goal as he recorded his first career shutout.

NIU (1-2-0) has lost its last two contests, while Loyola Chicago (2-1-0) defeated LaSalle, 3-1, last Sunday.

Notes: Stetson is 0-1 all-time against Northern Illinois, having last played the Huskies in 2015 … the Hatters are also 0-1 vs. Loyola Chicago.
