Annual Football Women’s Clinic Set For Friday

Preseason Golf Tournament Set for Monday, July 30

A sure sign that the start of football is just around the corner is the Stetson Football Women's Clinic, which is set for this Friday, July 27, at the Athletic Training Center on the Stetson University campus.

The clinic is open to women of all ages. The cost to attend is $40 per person, with all proceeds going to benefit the Florida Hospital DeLand Foundation.

Always a fun time for all, the clinic goes through every area of a college football program. Attendees will spend time in the film room with members of the Hatters coaching staff, will go on the field for some drills and will even play a game.

For more information on the clinic, call 386-822-7134 or visit https://www.stetson.edu/womens-clinic-2018.

Registration for the clinic begins at 5:30 p.m. The evening will conclude with a social hour.

The fun will continue on Monday, July 30, with the Annual Summer Classic Golf Fundraiser. That event will again be played at LPGA International in Daytona Beach. Registration will start at 7 a.m. with a shotgun start scheduled for 8:30 a.m.

Anyone interested in playing in the event, either as an individual or with a team, should contact Scott Sallach via email at ssallach@stetson.edu.

The 2018 Stetson football team will report to campus for the start of training came on Thursday, August 2. The Hatters will hold their first practice session on Friday evening, August 3, at 7 p.m. at the ATC.
