Hatters Host UNF in Key ASUN Clash

Stetson men's basketball continues ASUN Conference play when the Hatters host North Florida, 7 p.m., Wednesday, at Edmunds Center. The game will be streamed live on ESPN+.
 
Stetson enters the game seeking its first ASUN win of the season after suffering a 95-71 loss at ASUN co-leader Lipscomb last Saturday. Four players scored in double figures for the Hatters (4-13 overall, 0-2 ASUN), led by Kenny Aninye's 13 points.
 
UNF (8-10, 2-1) picked up an 87-66 win over FGCU last Saturday in Jacksonville. Junior forward Noah Horchler led the Ospreys with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Horchler is the ASUN's leading rebounder at 9.9 rebounds per game.
 
As a team, UNF is third in the ASUN in points per game (76.9), second in 3-pointers made per game (9.0) and first in three-point attempts (26.9). The Ospreys also rank next-to-last in scoring defense, allowing 78.9 points per outing.
 
Game Notes
•Stetson and UNF are meeting for the 29th time on Wednesday. The Ospreys lead the all-time series, 16-12.
•UNF has won the last three meetings and 12 of the last 14 in the series
•Stetson's last victory against UNF was an 88-74 win on Jan. 28, 2017 in DeLand
•Stetson sophomore Kenny Aninye and UNF junior Wajid Aminu were teammates at Wheeler (Ga.) High School in suburban Atlanta
•Two of Stetson's four wins this season have come on Wednesday (Johnson, Western Illinois)
•Stetson currently leads the ASUN in offensive rebounds per game (12.6)
•Stetson has made at least one 3-point field goal in each of the last 441 games after making 6 at Lipscomb
