Hatters Open Weekend Road Trip at North Alabama

Stetson men's basketball begins an ASUN Conference weekend road trip on Saturday when the Hatters make their first visit to league newcomer North Alabama. Tip-off is set for 4:30 p.m. EST, and the game will be streamed live on ESPN+.

The Hatters (4-14, 0-3) are still seeking their first conference win of the season after Wednesday's 87-77 home loss to North Florida. A nip-and-tuck affair from to outset, the Hatters couldn't overcome a hot start to the second half by the Ospreys.

Four Hatters scored in double figures against UNF, led by Leo Goodman with 17 points. Christiaan Jones (14), Marques Sumner (12) and Abayomi Iyiola (12) also reached double figures.

North Alabama (6-13, 3-1) is one of the hottest teams in the ASUN, winning three straight conference game. The Lions rallied for a 91-88 win at Jacksonville on Wednesday, winning a game in which they trailed by as many as eight points.

First-year head coach Tony Pujol starts a lineup which most night includes three freshmen. One of those – guard Jamari Blackmon – leads the Lions in scoring at 16.1 points per game.
