Jacksonville, Fla. - Stetson sophomore
Jamie Phillips Jr. has been named to the 2025 Preseason All-ASUN Team, the league announced Friday, Oct. 17. The recognition comes after an impressive freshman campaign that earned him a spot on the ASUN All-Freshman Team last season.
Phillips Jr. made an immediate impact in his debut year with the Hatters, appearing in 25 games with 24 starts while averaging 30 minutes per contest. He shot 45 percent from the field, 37 percent from beyond the arc, and 71 percent from the free-throw line, totaling 281 points on the year. The Tampa native recorded a career-high 26 points against Austin Peay and added 106 rebounds, 50 assists, 14 steals, and two blocks across the season.
As Stetson enters the 2025–26 campaign with only five returners, Phillips Jr. will look to lead a retooled roster that was picked ninth in the ASUN Preseason Coaches Poll and eighth in the media poll—positions the Hatters will aim to outperform as the season unfolds.
Head coach
Donnie Jones and the Hatters open the season on the road at Rhode Island on Nov. 3 before returning to DeLand to host Fort Lauderdale on Nov. 7 at the newly remodeled Insight Credit Union Arena at Edmunds Center.
