Hatters Visit FGCU on Monday

Stetson men's basketball closes out its weekend road trip when the Hatters visit ASUN Conference foe FGCU, 7 p.m., Monday at Alico Arena. The game will be streamed live on ESPN+.

The Hatters are not only seeking their first conference win, but enter Monday's game looking to shake off a crushing loss at North Alabama on Saturday. In that game, UNA's Christian Agnew sank a half-court buzzer beater to send the Lions to a 63-62 victory.

Stetson (4-15 overall, 0-4) showed some strong defensive chops against the Lions, limiting UNA to 35.9-percent shooting which is a season-low for a Division I opponent.

Marques Sumner led the Hatters on Saturday with 14 points. Kenny Aninye added 10 points and three steals.

FGCU (6-13, 1-3) earned its first conference win of the season with a 72-59 victory at Kennesaw State. Senior guard Shadrac Casimir led the Eagles with 34 points.
