News & Notes
The Hatters split their first two matches to begin the 2019 season … the Hatters looked impressive in their first match versus Morgan State … Stetson struggled a bit in doubles play, where only the pairing of Josh Laka and Tim Gennes managed a win … the Hatters responded with a sweep of singles to win the match, 6-1 … four freshmen made their debuts in the match: Louis Gorregues, Clement Hamel, Tim Gennes, and Christian Mills … the Hatters followed up with a tough loss to a very talented Miami team … Stetson was defeated 7-0 to a Hurricane lineup that featured three of the top 100 players in the country … in the coming week, the Hatters will travel to Bethune-Cookman on Sunday for a matchup against the Wildcats, and return home the next day to face the Mercer Bears.
