Hatters Begin Homestand Sunday vs. Tulsa

Preview
After playing six of the first nine games on the road, the Stetson Hatters (4-5) will open a four-game homestand Sunday afternoon against the Tulsa Golden Hurricane (3-7).  Tip-off at the Edmunds Center is scheduled for 1 p.m. with live video coverage on ESPN+.  The Hatter men will play Longwood at 4 p.m.

Tickets
Tickets start at just $7 for general admission and can be purchased online or at the Edmunds Center box office.  Stetson students, faculty and staff are admitted free with an ID.  One ticket provides admission to both games on Sunday.


The All-Time Series
Tulsa defeated Stetson 55-54 in Tulsa, Okla. last season in the only previous meeting between the two teams.  McKenna Beach led the Hatters with 20 points.


Last Time Out
Penn hit 14 3-pointers and shot 45 percent from beyond the arc to defeat Stetson 81-41 on Dec. 7 at The Palestra.  Day'Neshia Banks registered her fourth double-double of the season with 16 points and a career-high 16 rebounds, while Megan Vincent also pulled down a career-high 15 rebounds, including 10 on the offensive glass.

Home Sweet Home
The Hatters are 3-0 at home this season, averaging 91.0 points-per-game and shooting 52.2 percent from the floor.  Stetson's margin of victory is +50.0 in the three games.  Four Hatters are averaging double figures at home: Day'Neshia Banks (18.3), Kennedi Colclough (16.0), Maddie Novak (10.7) and Kimia Carter (10.3)

Home Cooking
The Hatters are 54-7 (.885) over their past 61 non-conference home games and 110-21 (.840) over their past 131 home games overall.  

Extended Homestand
Stetson will remain at home through the rest of the calendar year with games against Canisius, Bethune-Cookman and Holy Cross.  The Hatters will not take to the road again until the start of ASUN play, Jan. 4 at Kennesaw State.


ASUN Leaders
Stetson leads the ASUN and ranks 14th in the NCAA in field goal pct. defense (.331). The Hatters also lead the ASUN and rank 30th in the NCAA in rebounding (43.6).  

Season Debut
Redshirt freshman Emari Bell had her transfer waiver approved and has been deemed eligible to play immediately by the NCAA.  Bell made her debut at Penn and pulled down three rebounds in 12 minutes.


Streaking
Junior Day'Neshia Banks has scored in double figures in seven straight games with four double-double performances, including two in a row.  She ranks fourth in the ASUN in scoring (15.4 ppg) and fourth in rebounding (8.8 rpg).

3-Point Leader
Freshman Maddie Novak leads the team and ranks fourth in the ASUN with 22 3-point field goals.  She is shooting .431 from behind the arc this season.

Stetson will visit host the 32nd Annual Hatter Classic (Appalachian State, Bethune-Cookman, Canisius) on Thursday and Friday.
