Preview
Following a hard-fought, come-from-behind win over Tulsa on Sunday, Stetson (5-5) returns to action this week at the 32nd Annual Hatter Classic.  On Thursday, the Hatters will host Canisius at 1 p.m. followed by Bethune-Cookman taking on Appalachian State at 3 p.m.  On Friday, Stetson will face Bethune-Cookman at 11 a.m. while Appalachian State and Canisius will battle at 1 p.m.  ESPN+ will carry the two Stetson games.

Tickets
Tickets start at just $7 for general admission and can be purchased online or at the Edmunds Center box office.  Stetson students, faculty and staff are admitted free with an ID.  One ticket provides admission to both games on Thursday and Friday.


The All-Time Series
Canisius leads the all-time series 2-0 over Stetson. The teams will be meeting for the first time since 2003.  The Hatters lead the all-time series 19-16 over the Wildcats.  Stetson has won six in a row, but the two Volusia County rivals have not met since 2016.  


Last Time Out
Kimia Carter's driving layup with 34.6 seconds to play gave the Hatters the lead for good as Stetson rallied for a 66-60 victory over Tulsa Sunday afternoon at the Edmunds Center.  Carter also hit the final four free throws and grabbed two big defensive rebounds down the stretch to help the Hatters (5-5) improve to 4-0 at home this season. Stetson trailed on six different occasions in the fourth quarter but never let Tulsa pull away.  The lead changed hands nine times in the final period and 18 times for the game.

ASUN Freshman of the Week
Following her 16-point performance against Tulsa, Kimia Carter was named ASUN Freshman of the Week on Tuesday.


Home Sweet Home
The Hatters are 4-0 at home this season, averaging 84.8 points-per-game and shooting 52.0 percent from the floor.  Stetson's margin of victory is +39.0 in the four games.  Three Hatters are averaging double figures at home: Day'Neshia Banks (18.0), Kennedi Colclough (12.0), and Kimia Carter (11.8).

Home Cooking
The Hatters are 55-7 (.887) over their past 62 non-conference home games and 111-21 (.841) over their past 132 home games overall.  

Extended Homestand
Stetson will remain at home through the rest of the calendar year with a single game against Holy Cross on Dec. 30.  The Hatters will not take to the road again until the start of ASUN play, Jan. 4 at Kennesaw State.


ASUN Leaders
Stetson leads the ASUN and ranks 16th in the NCAA in field goal pct. defense (.334). The Hatters also lead the ASUN and rank 50th in the NCAA in rebounding (42.4).  


Streaking
Junior Day'Neshia Banks has scored in double figures in eight straight games with four double-double performances.  She ranks fourth in the ASUN in scoring (15.6 ppg) and fourth in rebounding (8.6 rpg).

Miscellaneous Notes
  • Stetson has won 83 consecutive games when scoring 74 points or more (3-0 this season)
  • Stetson has outscored its opponent in the first quarter in seven of 10 games this season
  • Kendall Lentz and Megan Vincent will play in their 75th career games on Thursday
  • Day'Neshia Banks needs 26 points for 500 in her career
