Hatters Host Florida National Tuesday on Elementary School Day

Preview
The Stetson Hatters (3-4) will be back on their home court Tuesday morning to host Florida National (4-8) in the annual Volusia County Elementary School game.  Tip-off is scheduled for 11 a.m. with live coverage on ESPN+.

The All-Time Series
Tuesday will mark the first all-time meeting between Stetson and Florida National.  The Conquistadors are an independent member of the NAIA.

Tickets
Tickets start at just $7 for general admission and can be purchased online or at the Edmunds Center box office.  Stetson students, faculty and staff are admitted free with an ID.  


Last Time Out
Stetson dropped a 66-40 decision to UCF Wednesday afternoon at Addition Arena. The Hatters committed 35 turnovers while the Knights (4-2) scored 31 points off those Stetson turnovers. Freshman Maddie Novak led the way with 16 points, and Day'Neshia Banks reached double figures for the fifth game in a row as she finished with 13 points.

Home Sweet Home
The Hatters are 2-0 at home this season, averaging 96.5 points-per-game and shooting 51.8 percent from the floor.  The Hatters are 53-7 (.883) over their past 60 non-conference home games and 109-21 (.838) over their past 130 home games overall.  Stetson has won 17 straight home games against non-Division I opponents.


Milestone Approaching
Since the start of the 2010-11 season, the Hatters have won 199 games (199-103, .659), an average of more than 21 wins per season. 

ASUN Leaders
As a team, Stetson leads the ASUN and ranks 20th in the NCAA in field goal pct. defense (.328). The Hatters also lead the ASUN in rebounds (42.0), rebound margin (+6.4), and blocks (4.8).  


Statistical Leader
Junior Day'Neshia Banks leads the team in points (109), rebounds (53), assists (18-tie) and steals (12).  She has scored 20+ points in a game three times this season.

3-Point Leader
Freshman Maddie Novak leads the team and ranks fourth in the ASUN with 17 3-point field goals.  She is shooting .436 from behind the arc this season.
