Preview
The Stetson Hatters will make their first-ever trip to Philadelphia to face the Penn Quakers on Saturday.  Tip-off at The Palestra is scheduled for 12 p.m. with live coverage on ESPN+.

Historic Venue
Viewed as one of the most storied gymnasiums in the history of collegiate athletics, the Palestra has hosted more games and more visiting teams than any other facility in college basketball.  The Palestra is famed for its close-to-the-court seating with the bleachers ending at the floor with no barrier to separate the fans from the game.  When it opened in 1927, it was one of the largest arenas in the world.

The All-Time Series
Penn leads the all-time series 2-1 over Stetson.  The Quakers defeated the Hatters 75-53 last season in DeLand.  Jon'Nita Henry led Stetson with 16 points.  Penn also won in 1998 and the Hatters won in 1988.  Saturday will be the first meeting in the series in Philadelphia.

Last Time Out
Six Hatters scored in double figures as Stetson defeated Florida National 80-37 Tuesday afternoon on Volusia County Schools Field Trip day at the Edmunds Center. The Hatters (4-4) shot 53 percent from the floor and dished out 21 assists to improve to 3-0 at home this season. Day'Neshia Banks recorded her third double-double of the season, finishing with 14 points and 10 rebounds.  Maddie Novak also scored 14 points behind 4-for-6 shooting from behind the arc. Tippy Robertson, Tonysha Curry, Jamiya Turner and Kimia Carter scored in double figures as well, netting 10 points apiece.

On The Road
Saturday, the Hatters will be playing their sixth opponent on the road this season.  Those six opponents combined for a 134-63 (.680) record last season.  Five of them played in the postseason and four of them won 24 games or more (Kentucky, Morehead State, UCF, Penn).

ASUN Leaders
Stetson leads the ASUN and ranks 13th in the NCAA in field goal pct. defense (.317). The Hatters allow just 57.6 points-per-game, second-best in the ASUN.  In addition to field goal pct. defense, Stetson also leads the ASUN in rebounds (43.1), rebound margin (+8.6), and blocks-per-game (4.6).

Statistical Leader
Junior Day'Neshia Banks leads the team in points (123), rebounds (63), assists (19, tie) and steals (12).  She has scored 20+ points in a game three times this season and has scored in double figures in six straight games.

Long Range Specialist
As of Thursday, freshman Maddie Novak ranks third in the ASUN with 21 3-point field goals made.  She is shooting .467 from behind the arc and she has hit seven 3-pointers in the past two games.

Up Next
Stetson will take a week off for final exams before hosting Tulsa at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 15.
