Hatters Return to Action, Host Jacksonville on Wednesday

After an eight-day hiatus, Stetson men's basketball returns to action on Wednesday when the Hatters host Jacksonville in an ASUN Conference clash at Edmunds Center. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. and the game will be streamed live on ESPN+.

The Hatters (5-20 overall, 1-9 ASUN) were playing some of their best basketball of the season just prior to the extended break, defeating Kennesaw State (92-75) on Feb. 2 and taking Liberty to the wire on Feb. 5 before coming out on the short end of a 57-54 score in Lynchburg, Va.

Not only have the Hatters been playing better of the late, but their best player has been as well. Sophomore forward Abayomi Iyiola has a double-double in each of the previous two games and is averaging 15.5 points and 11.5 rebounds in that time.

Stetson will be looking to avenge a 72-57 loss at Jacksonville on Jan. 30.

The Dolphins (11-15, 4-7) enter Wednesday's gem in a tie for sixth place in the ASUN standings as the league race nears the home stretch. JU split a pair of games last week, rallying for an 82-73 win over Kennesaw State at home, while suffering an 86-77 loss at Lipscomb on Saturday.
