The Stetson Hatters will visit the USF Bulls Thursday night in the first round of the WNIT.  Tip-off at Yuengling Center is scheduled for 7 p.m. with live video on GoUSFBulls.com.

Stetson (16-15) earned a berth to the WNIT after going 11-5 in ASUN play and finishing second in the league.  Overall, the Hatters have won 15 of their last 22 games after a 1-8 start.

"I think it is huge for this team, considering all that they've been through," Stetson head coach Lynn Bria said about the opportunity to keep playing.  "I think they've really done a good job as far as the body of work.  The body of work is what it is about, and I'm just really proud of them."

The Hatters will be taking the court for the first time in 13 days on Thursday.  Several Hatters will be getting their first taste of national postseason play, including Day'Neshia Banks, Mackenzie Davis, Bianca Fizouaty, Jon'Nita Henry, Rosalee Nicholson, and Addi Walters

"It helps build your program when you're in the postseason," Bria said.  "You continue to practice and get better.  I think for the younger players to experience it, it is really positive."

The Hatters will be making their ninth consecutive postseason appearance while the Bulls will be making their eighth in a row.  USF (18-15) advanced to the American Conference semifinals before falling to UConn.

"They are a very good team and very balanced," Bria said.  "They've got five people in double figure scoring.  It is going to be a hard game for us. We just have to be aggressive on both ends of the floor.  We can't give them at the easy baskets.  We have to make sure we get back in transition and really limit their offensive rebounds."

Thursday will be the 40th all-time meeting between the Hatters and Bulls.  USF leads the all-time series 28-11.  The Bulls have won 11 in a row in the series, with all 11 of those meetings coming in Tampa.

In addition to the GoUSFBulls broadcast, live stats, the Stetson women's basketball twitter feed, and the HatCheck text messaging service will provide live updates as well.

Notes:
  • With one more victory, the Hatters can clinch their ninth straight winning season
  • McKenna Beach needs six rebounds for 500 and 10 assists for 400.
