Hatters Blanked by Texas A&M

ORLANDO, Fla.--Stetson women's tennis suffered a 4-0 loss to No. 18 Texas A&M, Friday at the USTA National Campus.
 
Playing the first of what is scheduled to be three matches in three days, the Hatters (1-2) struggled to gain any momentum against the Aggies (6-1).
 
Texas A&M won all three doubles matches for an early 1-0 lead. The Aggies then quickly clinched three singles matches for the final result.
 
When play was halted Stetson's No. 1 Katie Kubicz had reached the third set of her match, while Lucie Renault was also leading her match at No. 5. Freshman Laia Pasini was leading the second set of her match at No. 6 when play stopped.
 
The Hatters next host Georgia Southern, 10 a.m., Saturday, at Mandy Stoll Tennis Center.
