Preview
The final game of the 33rd Annual Hatter Classic will be played Sunday morning when the Stetson Hatters host the Abilene Christian Wildcats.  Tip-off is set for at 11 a.m. with coverage on ESPN+.

All-Time Series
Stetson and Abilene Christian will be meeting for the first time.

About the Opponent
Members of the Southland Conference, the Wildcats are 6-2 on the season following Saturday's 81-73 loss to UAB.  Abilene Christian averages better than 80 points-per-game.  Anna McLeod leads the Wildcats in scoring (19.0 ppg).

Last Time Out
Margaret Whitley hit three free throws with 1 second remaining on the clock to lead UAB to a 49-48 victory over Stetson Friday afternoon on the first day of the Hatter Classic.  The Hatters (2-2) called timeout and advanced the ball to the front court, but Megan Vincent's shot at the buzzer rolled off the side of the rim. Jamiya Turner led the Hatters with 13 points, while Tyson scored 12.  Day'Neshia Banks and Tippy Robertson chipped in eight points apiece.

Defense Stepping Up
On the season, the Hatters are allowing a conference-best 58.5 points-per-game. Stetson also leads the league and ranks 25th in the NCAA in field goal pct. defense (.332).

Crashing The Boards
Stetson has outrebounded three of its four opponents this season and is averaging 42.3 rebounds-per-game.  That total ranks second in the ASUN, and three Hatters rank among the top 10 in the league in rebounding: Tonysha Curry - 5th (7.3), Day'Neshia Banks - 6th (7.0), and Jamiya Turner - 8th (6.8).

The Head Coach
Head Coach Lynn Bria is in her 13th season with the Hatters and 26th season overall. The all-time winningest coach in program history, Bria holds a Stetson record of 224-165 (.577).

  • Sunday's game will mark the fifth game in 11 days for the Hatters
  • It is will be Stetson's final non-conference tuneup before the start of ASUN play
  • Stetson is outscoring opponents by a total of 23 points in third quarters this season
