Hatters Return Home Saturday to Host Kennesaw State

Preview
For the first time since Jan. 27, the Stetson Hatters will play on their home court Saturday afternoon when they face the Kennesaw State Owls.  Tip-off at Edmunds Center is set for 1 p.m. with live coverage on ESPN3 (moved from ESPN+).

In The Standings
Stetson and Kennesaw State are tied for sixth in the ASUN standings at 4-6.  Both teams stand just a game-and-a-half out of third place, currently occupied by a three-way tie among North Florida, Jacksonville, and Liberty.  The top four teams in the league will host an ASUN quarterfinal game.

Tickets
Tickets start at just $7 for general admission and can be purchased online or at the Edmunds Center box office.  Stetson students, faculty and staff are admitted free with an ID.  Hatter fans can also purchase new court side seats by calling 386-738-4287.

All-Time Series
Stetson leads the all-time series 29-5 over Kennesaw State. The Hatters have won 24 of the last 26 head-to-head meetings, including 13 of the last 14 at the EdmunsCenter.

Last Time Out 
Stetson gave FGCU all it could handle for the better part of 30 minutes, but a fourth quarter surge helped lift the 24th-ranked Eagles to a 67-54 victory over the Hatters Monday night in an ASUN Conference match-up at Alico Arena. Tonysha Curry led the Hatters with a career-high 15 points.  Day'Neshia Banks and Kimia Carter each chipped in 11.

Previously vs. Kennesaw State
The Hatters held a 49-26 edge on the glass and played exceptionally well down the stretch to defeat the Owls 67-61 at the KSU Convocation Center on Jan. 4.  Kimia Carter led Stetson with a career-high 18 points as the Hatters improved to 1-0 in ASUN play.

Home Sweet Home
Stetson is 6-5 at home this season and 113-26 (.815) over their past 139 home games overall.  Stetson will play four of their final six regular season games at the Edmunds Center.

Defense, Defense, Defense
Winners of three of four, the Hatters have held their past four opponents to just 50.5 ppg.  Overall, Stetson leads the ASUN and ranks 18th in the NCAA in field goal pct. defense (.345).  The Hatters also lead the ASUN 46th in the NCAA with 103 blocked shots on the season. 

Big Year on the Boards
The Hatters currently lead the ASUN in rebounding (40.7) and rank second in rebound margin (+4.9), totals that rank 61st and 61st, respectively, in the NCAA. Stetson has topped the 40-rebound mark as a team 12 times this season, something they did just four times last season. 

Double Figure Scoring
Junior Day'Neshia Banks has scored in double figures in 20 out of 23 games this season, and in 38 of 44 games in her career.
