Competing for an ASUN Conference Championship is nothing new for the Stetson women's basketball program.  Playing an ASUN quarterfinal game on the road, however, will be something of a new endeavor.  The Hatters have hosted six straight ASUN quarterfinal games since the league adopted the campus sites format for its championship in 2014.

This year, however, the Hatters enter the ASUN Championship as the No. 7 seed and will visit No. 2 seed North Alabama in the quarterfinals Saturday afternoon in Florence, Ala.  Tip-off at Flowers Hall is set for 2 p.m. ET with live coverage on ESPN+.

The Hatters have done well on the road this season, posting conference wins at Kennesaw State, Lipscomb, North Florida and NJIT.

"That's been the encouraging thing is that we have played well on the road," Stetson head coach Lynn Bria said.  "It's where we are. No matter what, whether you are at home or on the road, you're in a one game season."

Stetson and North Alabama split their series in the regular season, with each team winning at home.  The Lions have won three in a row, including a 61-55 win at FGCU last week.

"We've got a tough draw," Bria said.  "I think North Alabama is playing at a very high level right now, and it's a tough place to play. We've practiced well, and I think we are prepared. It's matter of playing extremely hard, but you also have to execute.  When you get into March, execution becomes very important."

Second-team all-conference section Day'Neshia Banks leads the Hatters in scoring (15.7 ppg) and rebounding (7.7). She has scored in double figures in 11 straight games and in 26 of 29 games this season.

ASUN All-Freshman Team honoree Kimia Carter averages 9.7 ppg in league play.  Megan Vincent has recorded 55 blocked shots on the season.

The winner will advance to the semifinal round on Wednesday.  The ASUN Championship will be held on March 15 with the winner receiving the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

In addition to the ESPN+ broadcast, live stats, the Stetson women's basketball twitter feed, and the HatCheck text messaging service will provide live updates as well.
