Hatters roll past Bethune-Cookman, extend win streak to six

Daytona Beach, Fla. -- The Stetson University women's tennis team extended its unbeaten streak as the Hatters rolled past Bethune-Cookman University 7-0 Wednesday afternoon in a mid-nonconference match. 

The Hatters (6-0) made quick work of the Wildcats (0-1) as Stetson was victorious in all three doubles matches on the afternoon. Both pairs of Nadejda Maslova and Tess Menten and Noa Cohen and Anais Gabriel shutout their opponents 6-0. Alanna DiFrancesco and Elodie Foster took their set 6-2. 

Stetson continued its success in singles action as all six Hatters cruised to victories in two sets. Four of the Hatters six singles matches finished with back-to-back 6-0 wins in each set. 

This is Stetson's best start to a year since the 2014 season when the Hatters rattled off 10 wins in a row after dropping the opening match to Florida State. 

The Stetson women's tennis team will be back in action on Tuesday, Feb. 9 as the Hatters head to Rollins College for another non-conference mid-week match. First serve is set for 4 p.m.
