Preview
Winners of two straight and 10 of 11, the No. 3 East seed Stetson Hatters (18-11) will face the No. 6 West seed Bellarmine Knights (4-23) in the first round of the 2022 ASUN Conference Championship Wednesday night in DeLand.  Tip-off at the Edmunds Center is set for 6 p.m. with live coverage on ESPN+.  The winner will advance to face No. 2 West seed North Alabama in the quarterfinals at 4:30 p.m. ET Sunday.

All-Time Series vs. Bellarmine - 4th Meeting
Stetson leads the all-time series 2-1 over Bellarmine, including a 64-53 win earlier this season.  Tatiana Streun registered a 14-point, 10-rebound double-double and Jamiya Turner pulled down a career-high 15 rebounds.  Stetson was just 2-for-18 from the arc.  All three all-time meetings have come in DeLand.

"I just think they've gotten better," Stetson head coach Lynn Bria said about the team's turnaround.  "It's a credit to how hard they've worked and how much they like to compete.  We had so many new players at the beginning of the year, it took us some time as coaches to figure out how the pieces fit together.  We've moved some people around and I think it has been good for us."

Team Defense
The Hatters have held 17 of their 29 opponents to under 60 points this season, and they are 15-2 in those games.  At 55.8 points allowed per game, Stetson's defense ranks second in the ASUN and 27th in the NCAA. The Hatters also rank 45th in the NCAA in field goal pct. defense (.366).

Home Sweet Home
Stetson is 8-4 at home this season and the Hatters have won five straight at the Edmunds Center. The Hatters are 127-38 (.770) over their past 165 home games, dating back to the 2010-11 season.

ASUN Victories
Stetson has defeated 10 of 11 ASUN opponents this season, including all six in the West Division. The only team Stetson has yet to defeat is Liberty.

Streun Stepping Out
After hitting a total of 23 3-pointers in four total seasons at Portland State, Tatiana Streun has unleashed 24 triples in her grad season at Stetson, including 21 in conference play.  Streun leads the team in 3-point field goal pct. overall (.407) and ranks sixth in the league in 3-point field goal pct. in ASUN play (.412).

Take It Away 
For the second straight yearYazz Wazeerud-Din leads the ASUN in steals (62) and steals-per-game (2.21). She currently ranks 48th in the NCAA with 62 steals. 

The Head Coach
Head Coach Lynn Bria is in her 14th season with the Hatters and 27th season overall. The all-time winningest coach in program history, Bria holds a Stetson record of 250-189. She has 403 career victories.

  • Alyssa Hargrove was named ASUN Freshman of the Week Monday, her fourth weekly honor of the season
  • Mali Morgan-Elliott was named ASUN Newcomer of the Week Monday, her first weekly honor of the season
