DELAND, Fla. - The Stetson University men's tennis team lost its third straight ASUN match, falling to the visiting Kennesaw State Owls, 7-0, Sunday afternoon at Mandy Stoll Tennis Center.
The Owls (12-4, 4-0 ASUN) took the doubles' point after winning two of the three matches, then increased its lead to 3-0 after wins at flight 1 and 3.
The Hatters had chances, but No. 2
Tristan Dumas lost his first set in a tiebreaker and fell in straight sets, while both No. 5
Tim Gennes and No. 6
Sami Ozzor each won their first set but lost their matches in three.
Stetson (7-8, 0-3 ASUN) returns to ASUN action this weekend on the road. The Hatters play at Lipscomb on Friday (April 1) and Jacksonville State on Sunday (April 3).
