"This team deserves all the accolades they received this year," Stetson head women's tennis coach Sandlant said. "The way they competed during the regular season was outstanding. We had some individual and team record-breaking results this year but most important to us is this weekend. We look forward to the challenge."
Sandlant becomes the fifth Stetson women's tennis head coach to earn the Coach of the Year honor and the first since 2015 when Pierre Pilote took home the honor. Other Stetson coaches to earn the award include Vicky Pate (1986), Kathy Barnard (1991) and Sasha Schmid (2005, 2008, 2009). Sandlant led the Hatters to a 20-win season for the first time in school history and the ASUN regular season title, the school's first since 2009.
Maslova, a two-time ASUN Player of the Week, earns her first postseason award after recording a 12-5 record this season at No. 1 singles and owning a 17-4 overall doubles record, 16-4 at No. 2, with most of those wins partnered with Darley (14-4).
DiFrancesco earns her honors after going 20-1 this season overall with a majority of those coming at No. 4 singles (12-1) and includes a 13-match winning streak. The 20 wins is tied for the 8th-most in a single-season at the school and the most for any ASUN player this year. She also owned a 12-7 overall doubles record, including an 11-7 mark partnered with Foster at No. 1 and a current four-match winning streak.
Gabriel, a first team selection a year ago, becomes Stetson's first back-to-back honoree since Arijana Korac (2017-18). This year, she was once named the ASUN Player of the Week and compiled a 14-4 overall record, with most coming at No. 2 singles (9-3) and owned a 14-1 overall doubles record, including a 12-1 mark at No. 3 and a 10-match winning streak paired with Cohen.
Named to the second team and all-freshmen team, Darley finished the regular season 19-1 overall, including a 5-1 mark at No. 2. She was unbeaten at No. 3 (14-0) and in ASUN action (8-0), and is currently on a 16-match winning streak. Her doubles record, overall was 15-4, including a 13-4 mark at No. 2 with Maslova and a current five-match winning streak
The last second team selection, Cohen was also 19-1 overall this season (1-0 at 3; 6-0 at 4, 11-1 at 5, 1-0 at 6) and included a team-long 19-match winning streak and a 7-1 in league record. She owned a 12-1 overall doubles record, including an 11-1 mark at No. 3, partnered with Gabriel, who enter the postseason with a current 10-match winning streak.
In 2022, Foster's singles record is 9-6, with most of her matches being at No. 6 (5-6). Her doubles record overall was 12-7, all at flight 1, as she teamed up mostly with DiFrancesco to post an 11-7 overall mark and they were 4-3 in the ASUN. Academically, Foster holds a 3.89 GPA as a health science major.
The eight player awards are the most for the Stetson women's tennis team since 2015, when the Hatters received 10 honors - two on the first team, four on the second team, three on the freshman team and one on the academic team, to go along with three of the major awards - coach, player and freshman.

Stetson (20-2, 8-1 ASUN) shared the ASUN title with FGCU and North Florida and tiebreaker scenarios gave the Hatters the second seed and they will face the winner of the North Florida/Kennesaw State match on Saturday at 9 am.
